The 63rd annual Maritime Fiddle Festival will take place at the Prince Andrew High School Auditorium from July 5 - 9. A weekend pass is $40 for an individual or $80 for a family. Per day, it costs $5 to watch the competitions.

The Downtown Dartmouth Business Commission's new marketing initiative "All Together Downtown Dartmouth" has developed a new logo for the downtown area. Previously, Downtown Dartmouth used three different logos. Those involved in the campaign feel narrowing it down to just one shows continuity and stability and will benefit business.

The Halifax Chamber of Commerce Spring Dinner 2012 will be held at the World Trade and Convention Centre on May 2 from 5-10 pm. Tickets for the dinner are $175 for chamber members and $225 for non-members; tables of ten are also available for $1750 and $2250.

The International Careers Fair will take place at the Cunard Centre in Halifax on March 6. This is a free event and over 350 job seekers are expected to show up.

The Halifax Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Halifax Business Awards on January 26. The event will take place at the Halifax Marriot Harbourfront from 5-10 pm. Tickets are $150 for Chamber members and $200 for non-members.

The Small Wonders exhibit and sale will be running at the Craig Gallery in Dartmouth from December 1-21; the opening reception will take place at 7 pm on December 1. The exhibit consists of donated small works of art and all money raised will go to the Craig Gallery. Those artists whose work will be on display, and available for sale, at the exhibit will include Rose Adams, Kay Stanfield, Dawn Menutt and many other local artists.
